"Writing is a process"(DeVries 288). In my future class i will defiantly conduct writing workshop. For me I believe it is the best way to teach students about Pre-writing, drafting, revising, editing and publishing. I believe students should learn and practice each step numerously to be successful writers. For the struggling writers, setting up student-teacher conferences will help pin point struggling areas. The conferences is good be for all student. During the conferences I would encourage the students to take risks in their writing. In addition pointing out positive points in their writing will helps their confidence.
Spelling is very important is a good writing piece. I plan for my future students to have a spelling journal to write words that they having trouble spelling. The student will using strategies like finding word patterns and making connections with the word and learn how to spell it.
